Configuration Baseline Units (CBUs) are VBCs approach to standardized units. No project is actually 'standard' so we work on developing units that have some flexibility (length, kit selection, exterior wall design) while still standardizing as much as we can (width, height, MEP, some framing). The benefits could be huge for the company, unlocking prepopulated shop drawings, extremely shorter design and engineering time, and additional throughput). In additional to the CBUs, we needed to first develop the bathroom and kitchen kits, for utilization in the CBUs
